I work one-to-one with adults (18+)

We schedule a weekly session, usually at the same day and time each week for the duration of our work together. This is a regular space reserved for you. I do not offer fortnightly or less frequent sessions.

Sometimes things come up. If you can’t make a session I will always try to offer you an alternative space in the same week. For sessions cancelled within 7 days that are not rescheduled in the same week the full fee is due.

Our conversations are confidential.

In line with my professional requirements and to provide the best service, I discuss my work with a supervisor who does not know my clients’ identities and they share the same professional and ethical obligations to protect confidentiality as I do.

We discuss limitations to confidentiality in our first sessions and I welcome questions about it anytime.

The length of therapy can vary but ultimately, you decide when to end our work together. Some people choose a few sessions to address a particular issue, or you may choose to continue for a longer period of time to work through deeper issues or achieve personal growth. Whether we have agreed a specific number of sessions or work open-endedly we will regularly check-in and when it feels like a good time for you, plan a time to end. It is important not to rush an ending and I will usually recommend at least a final scheduled session to review the work and close the relationship.
